Looking for something to do this weekend? The annual Fido Fest is happening in Farmington Hills, starting July 18th, and running through Saturday evening on July 19th. Here are some of the fun things you can explore while there. Be sure to bring a sunhat and sunscreen!

Time: Friday July 18th, Saturday July 19th, 10 AM – 7 PM

Where: Downtown Farmington at Riley Park – 33113 Grand River Ave, Farmington, MI

Per the website, all well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be on a 6-foot leash — no retractable leashes. If any dog shows signs of aggression, they will be asked to leave. Please remember to pick up after your pet(s). If you have a skittish or anxious pup, it might be best to just bring him or her home some goodie bags from the event.

Some Events to Check Out This Weekend at Fido Fest

Ultimate Air Dogs will be performing throughout Friday in their splash show and swimming contest! If that doesn’t cool you down, bring Fido along to the beer garden from 12 PM to 6 PM on both Friday and Saturday. Hankering for more cooldown? Several cooling pools are available for your pup to splash around.

Want to enter a contest? There are a variety of contests you can participate in on both days, including a smooching contest, puppy dash, and pug run. In addition, many local vendors are offering raffles on doggie goodie bags — you could win a large prize pack to pamper your pup with!

Lastly, get a little shopping done. Check out the various food and item vendors offering fun items for both you and your pup, so you can enjoy a day or two of endless shopping together.
